When Arthur D. accidentally took the wrong exit on the intergalactic highway one day, he found himself flung back in time to medieval England. Having to work for a living, he was happy to be hired as bodyguard by the local witch, which expected him to wield his sword into the face of anyone who would protest against the inflated prices of her love potions. 

New to this line of work and anxious not to get his knuckles bruised, he decided to wear spiked boxing gloves for protection.
