I can only hope that the democratically elected representatives in France and in the USA take their job of controlling and restraining their countries' executive as seriously as the British and won't allow their leaders to rush them into another needless and unwarranted military adventure without UN mandate.

Bombs and missiles
won't solve the current crisis but have all the potential to set the
whole Middle East aflame and worse. It's for the UN Security Council
to decide what course to take and no one else.
